HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2016
HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2016
Once again, this Thanksgiving I’ll be giving thanks for all the usual things like friends, family, health, turkey dinner and some nice wines from the Cupcake and Chateau St. Jean wineries.
And, of course, I’m thankful for the CHICAGO CUBS, they earned a berth in the World Series for the first time in 71 years and then went on to win the World Series for the first time in 108 years.
Now if only the champions of mediocrity, the San Diego Padres could get their act together……but alas, as Forest Gump said, “stupid is as stupid does”.
Locally in Mira Mesa…….

I don’t know how the heck they do it, a whole team of kids being kids, It would drive me absolutely crazy (Crazier?). Kudos to all of the “kid wranglers” in our community.
I’ll be thankful for all of the help we’ve received from the Grounds Maintenance Workers on the SDP&R local staff, they keep our parks looking sharp on a daily basis. And I’ll be especially grateful for the astute leadership & wisdom of Kathy Ruiz and Andy Field. Because of them, good things happened, albeit a bit slower than we’d prefe

And, would you believe, there is a Pétanque Court and a Walk-In Sun Dial at Camino Ruiz Neighborhood Park.
