The Mira Mesa Community Park Phase 2 Improvements including the aquatic center and skate park were approved by the San Diego City Council on Monday, June 3, 2024 with a unanimous 9-0 vote. The Mira Mesa Community Park Phase II Improvements project was advertised on January 10, 2024; bids were opened on March 14, 2024. PCL Construction Services was determined to be the lowest responsive bidder. The Notice of Intent (NOI) to award was issued and sent to the contractor on March 25th, 2024. City staff developed the Council Action to award this contract, which was approved at the June 3rd City Council meeting. The contract has been awarded and construction will start on Monday, August 19, 2024.
